What we did

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is one of the largest and most stable financial institutions in the world, with operations in more than 50 countries. Its worldwide reach and stability, along with its product capabilities, have allowed MUFG to deliver world-class solutions on a global scale.

The Work

To meaningfully expand MUFG employees’ knowledge of the bank’s history, R&R created an immersive digital wall in the lobby of the bank’s new global headquarters, allowing employees to directly interact with the bank’s roots in a more personal and visceral way.

Using a Planar/Leyard touch-screen base with a Windows blade server replacing the hardware, we were able to use video drivers to communicate the visuals to the screens. With four screen banks and modules, one server for each using HTML5, Nunjucks, SaSS, and JavaScript compiled with Gulp, along with NWJS in kiosk mode as a projector, we were able to create a palpable history lesson that everyone could relate to.
